I have been teaching since January of 1988. I have been with Sweet Home Schools since 1991. Over the past 22 years I have taught children of various age ranges and disabilities. I currently teach the students in the 12:1:1 special education self-contained classroom at Glendale Elementary School. This is my 16th year teaching students in this setting. Prior to this, I taught an 8:1:1 class of students with emotional disturbances at Glendale, a 15:1:1 class of students with learning disabilities at Glendale and was a consultant teacher for Maplemere Elementary. Prior to Sweet Home, I taught at Williamsville South High School and Summit Academy (formerly called Language Development Program).
I have a bachelor's degree in music education from Fredonia State University and a master's degree in special education from Buffalo State College. I completed other course work at Medaille College and Canisius College. I hold NYS teaching certificates in special education (ages birth-21) and elementary education (preschool-grade 6).
I have a beautiful daughter, Julia, who is in the 5th grade at Glendale and a beautiful step-daughter, Jordan, who is a college sophmore in Tampa, Florida.
I love my family and I love my job!!!!
